Drum Teachers

Michael Matthys

Michael fell in love with drumming around the age of 12. The main reason was the size of the instrument and on top of that, it just looked cool! As a kid being cool is all that matters 🙂

Anyway 20 years later, in the meantime toured around in London with various acts and bands and graduated as a pro drummer at the Conservatory of Arts in Europe, I find myself in Melbourne wanting to pass on what I have learned so far and share my passion and love for the drums with aspiring students who want to develop their skills  and find their own voice.

Ryan Whyte

According to Ryan’s parents, he was born to play drums. He picked up the sticks before he could walk under the guidance of his father who is also an accomplished drummer. Ryan learnt his craft from various teachers including former Grand Wazoo drummer, Bill Wall.

Ryan spent his high school years as the drummer in various bands and continued to play and learning to push the boundaries of his learning adventure.
Ryan is privileged to be teaching students of all levels and is excited to be passing on his skills and passion to those learning from him.
